Live Nativity - Wonderful Experience!

Grandaddy's church, Spears Creek Baptist, had a live nativity one weekend and it was incredibly well done.  I'm so happy that you girls have been learning about Jesus' birth and about the manger, the wise men, the shepherds, and the angel.....this truly helped to bring what you've been learning to life!
In a season that has become so commercial and full of everything but the real reason behind Christmas,
it was wonderful for you to experience this.  And I was so impressed at how much
you could tell it meant to the church members who were helping make this a wonderful event.
No money was collected or mentioned or hinted at.....and
lots of giving was going on....hot chocolate and cookies....
a true community outreach and service.
Beautifully done!

There's Grandmary handing out cookies!

Grandaddy went with us through the tour, even though he
had been two times already.

It was collllld!
There's Grandaddy's church in the background.
Live animals...that you got to feed!

Y'all have said, many times this season,
"And the angel said, 'Be not afraid....'..."

The manger....
There's the baby Jesus!
Smart folks....there was a heater aimed right at Mary and the baby...

Poor, sleeping chickens!

Decorating our "Christmas House"

The girls got so excited about the Christmas decorations…..when we saw my Dad later that day, they invited him to come see our "Christmas House"….which made me want to decorate MORE!  Fun times.

Molly thought her stocking was supposed to go on her feet….precious.

They keep taking the decorations down and moving them….mercy!
