Our First Two Years Together

Hello to anyone who may check out this blog. It would be fun to have visitors, but at the same time, I wanted to create a journal to document our time together. :)

Charles and I were married on June 17, 2006 and had a fun honeymoon at both the mountains and the sea! The cabin we stayed in was PERFECT and our dear friend Sylvia Davis generously offered her home in Murrels Inlet for our trip to the sea.

Our first two years have been great and also dotted with tough times. My grandparents, Myrtis and Christie Brown, both died in the Fall of 2006, about a month apart. The next year, Charles' precious Mom, Mrs. Rene, passed away.

A few months after that we were thrilled to find out we were expecting a baby on October 21, 2007. Woo hoo! We floated around in shock and excitement. We had an ultrasound where we saw the baby's heartbeat and were relieved that things were looking great. Sadly, a week later, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and 5 days. We're still dealing with that loss which has been compounded by other difficult, related news.

However, the good news is, that we've grown closer together than we would be otherwise because of helping each other deal with these tough times.

Charles is a wonderful husband who meets my emotional needs and that means this man should get some serious world wide recognition and rewards.

The picture is from our 2nd anniversary trip on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had a fantastic time!

If you happen to stop by this blog, it would be great if you leave a comment! Or, as my very cool husband says, "Holla back."
