Precious Ordinary
A wise friend posted about the "ordinary day" recently and how thankful she was for it.
I totally agree.
I painfully am aware of time slipping through my fingers....of these little girls growing inches while I'm at work....of the totally impossible wish that I have of slowing them down so I can savor their childhood longer.
Macy and the Tooth
Poor Macy hit her front tooth on the rocking chair and had to go to the dentist for a (painful) adjustment. What a scary experience for both Mommy and Macy.
After mountains were moved at work for me to be able to leave for 2 hours, I went home, got Macy and then we walked in for her appointment with her bunny and blanket.
I can count on ONE HAND the number of times Macy and Molly have been separated......it is such a strange and wonderful and weird feeling to be with just one of them.
The squealer....screamer.....headstrong one was the one who needed to see the dentist.
Macy vs. the lady trying to get an X-ray of the tooth = Macy wins
Macy vs. Dr. Jenkins and the Readjustment = Dr. Jenkins wins
We'll have to wait and see in 2 weeks if it looks like the tooth will have to be pulled. YIKES.

15 Minutes of Snow
Seriously - snow fell for just a few minutes today....when I noticed it, I told the girls....Molly looked up at me and said, "Go see it?" I jumped into action, knowing it was fleeting. We flung on coats and shoes....and as we were walking out the door, I told the girls to open their mouths and stick out their tongue to let it land in their mouth....Molly took me seriously.
Macy wasn't so sure.
We came back in and warmed up....it was the perfect time for grilled cheese sandwiches and vegetable soup. I love all the little things that the girls do that show their childlike creativity.
Macy wasn't so sure.
We got out there just in time...it only lasted a few minutes.
A little playing and then it was naptime....yay!
Mommy loves Saturdays.
So much!
