Can't Sleep...

It is mighty hard to sleep these days .... trying to get up from a lying position is very much like when a bug is turned over on its back....and can't get up.

A little bit of an update - when I was at the doctor last, the girls had flipped.  Their heads were both down.  That's a good sign, huh?

Charles and I have almost finished THE LIST :).   I'm so thankful!

There are two bouncy seats in our den and soon to be two swings.  I got the swings from consignment type places....great deals....and they match!

I'm excited to know my sister, Ginger, has bought plane tickets to be down here to help for a few days when Charles goes back to work after the babies come.  I look forward to that!

Any tips you want to share with me?  I'd love to learn from your experience....click "Comments" below to leave a note.

Hope you're doing well.  :)

  1. If you're going to nurse, get some softer nightime nursing bras for nighttime. I hated wearing the regular nursing bras to sleep in, but they do sell really soft ones that are supportive but comfy for sleeping. And whether you're nursing or not, you might want one of those hand pumps to relieve the "extra" for the first week or so. There's lots more where this comes from, so if you have any questions, let me know. I'm not an expert, but I have EXPERIENCE! Marianne

  2. Angela, I don't have any bra advice for you, but the blog sure looks great! Good to see I got a shout out over there in the "about me" section for hooking you and Charlie Tree up. Hootie hooo, T

  3. Angela,

I love your blog! I am excited that I will be able to watch your sweet babies grow even though we aren't there. You are going to be a wonderful mommy! I am sure most things will come completely natural to you! I remember the last few weeks before having Jackson were filled with such mixed emotions and that neverending to-do list. After going through it, my advice would be to enjoy every moment with your babies-yes, even in the middle of the night! They will one day sleep all night, and you'll miss that time of sweet snuggling and precious bonding. Try to write down little things that happen and take lots of pics. You'll look back, and it will be a blur. I will be here if you ever have a question...believe me, I would ask questions to anyone who would listen. :)

  4. Hey, girl! Happy Mother's Day. I really do miss your smile. I can offer lots of advice to, so any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. I will have to say it is hard to believe as you look back in a few years how fast everything goes. Cherish each day and every special moment. You will have double the blessings at once, so get ready and hold on. It is definitely worth the ride!!! Tell Charles, it will be just as fun as the daddy, too. Derek and I have the best time with the kids together!! Love you and miss you! I am praying for all 4 of you and can't wait to meet "Mac and Cheese".

  5. It's awfully hard to "enjoy every moment" when you're in the middle of the stress of raising children, but as everyone is saying, ENJOY. It goes by fast. AND have a sense of humor!!
